Top 5 Wednesday- Friend Groups You Want To Be Part Of

This week is all about the friendships you want to be apart of in books!

1. Harry Potter Series

Who wouldn't want to be bff's with Harry, Ron & Hermione? I ask you who??? I seriously would never leave the Weasley household. For reals!

2. The Raven Boys

I would love to be apart of the Raven Boys Gang. To spend all day with Gansey, Blue, Ronan, Adam and Noah would be amazing! We would look for long lost kings and try to solve the mystery of the leylines.

3. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

I love how diverse this group of friends are. You have a artsy one, a sarcastic one, a sporty one and a writer. They are an amazing group of friends that one can only dream of being part of! In case your wondering I am a total Lena, but of course!

4. I've Got Your Number

Ok this is kind of faking it a little. There's really no real 'group of friends' in this book but I want to hang out with Poppy and Same something fierce. Poppy is funny and spunky and Sam is serious and yet a tad playful. Love this book!

5. Throne of Glass

The people in this book are seriously badass. An assassin, a prince, a prince's guard, magical beings, the list goes on! I would love to spend time with all of them!

This week is all about the authors you want to meet. As an avid reader, I have a TON of favorite authors that I would LOVE to meet. I just picked out 5 today that are on my list.

My list of authors I want to meet is endless..for real!

1.J.K Rowling

The woman wrote Harry Potter which are my all time favorite books!

2. Rainbow Rowell

I seriously love everything this woman writes! I would love to chat over a cup of coffee with her!

3. Sophie Kinsella

She is an amazing British author & I love all of her books!

4. Rick Yancey

He is the author of one of my favorite series, The 5th Wave which is also being turned into a movie. I Have a ton of questions to ask him about the end of the series & the movie of course!

5. Sarah J. Maas

You guys know how much I love her books! She seems super fun & sweet & I would love to meet her!

1. Talon Series by Julie Kagawa

I somewhat liked her Iron Fey series but really enjoyed the first book in her Blood of Eden series. This series is all about dragons...sold!

2. Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo

I might be the only one who hasn't read this series yet!

3. Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

I love her other series, Rebel Belle so I'm bound to like this one as well!

4. The Young Elites by Marie Lu

I adore Lu's Legend series and I meant to read this last year!

5. Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

I have been meaning to start this forever ago!

This has a little bit of red on it so it counts right? It's just a lovely cover!

One of the most gorgeous covers ever!

This looks more orange than red online but it's def. red!

5. The Statistical probability of Love at first sight by Jennifer E. Smith

Not alot of red but beautiful cover!

1. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

This is such an amazing book! It's set in a futuristic world & it's full of game and 80s references!

2. Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick

I love this book! It's very emotional but yet hopeful!

3. I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella

My all time favorite chick lit book! I love, love, love this book!

4. Is Everyone Hanging Out Withouth Me by Mindy Kaling

Believe you me the best way to read this book is to listen to it! Mindy narrates it herself and it is much funnier listening to it! Love it!

5. The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

This is a none fiction book all about you guessed it..happiness. I love it so!

-Elixir Series by Hilary Duff

Now I love me some Hilary Duff. Chalk it back to the Lizzie Mcguire days. Now her first book wasn't horrible but I didn't love it so I will not be continuing on with the series.

- Pretty Little Liars Series by Sara Shephard

I'm sure you all of heard of the show which I do watch but it orginally started out as a book series and it is still going! I read the first 5 I think but then I got bored with who's A and what's next.

I really think they need to wrap up this series!

-The Immortal Series by Alyson Noel

Now I enjoyed the first 3 books of this series and then it went downhill, like really downhill. So I quit it and I will never return to it again.

-Matched Series by Ally Condie

This is defiantly a love/hate series. People either love it or hate it. I fall on the latter side. I really did not enjoy the first but so alas I will not finish the series.

-Nightshade Series by Andrea Cremer

Another love/hate series. I did like the first one but just couldn't get into the second one all that much.

1. Hogwarts from the Harry Potter Series

Who wouldn't have this as their number 1 pick? Please send me to Hogwarts for all the classes, cool things & awesome teachers!

2. Sunnydale High School from Buffy The Vampire Slayer

So is this cheating? It's fictional..just a T.V Show right? What I wouldn't do to be apart of the Scooby Gang and have Buffy be my BFF!

3. Camp Half Blood from the Percy Jackson Series

I've only read the 1st Percy Jackson book but I would love to go to camp half blood! I don't know if this is technically a school but I'm treating it as such!

4. St. Vladimir’s Academy from the Vampire Academy Series

I would love to train with Rose and just drool over Dimitri...enough said!

5. Chilton School from Gilmore Girls

Yes another T.V show but if you know anything about me you know my love for Gilmore Girls is endless. I would love to hang out with Rory and even Paris and hopefully pass all the classes in the school because I am nowhere as smart as Rory!

As you can see I really love colors & awesome typography!

The books are:

1.The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

I love the simplicity of this spine but also the boldness that brings it out.

2. Pivot Point by Kaysie West

I love the colors and just the typography on this spine!

3. Ignite Me by Tarareh Mafi

The colors and the overall scheme are just amazing!

4. Isla & The Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

I love the colors on this spine! The type & the little flower on it add that pop to it as well!

5. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

This is probably my favorite out of the bunch. Why? Two words- pin stripes!

I love them and the colors on this spine!

Top 5 Wednesday- Books that made you cry

Before I begin let me preface by saying I don't cry alot when it comes to books. Now with movies and t.v shows, I bawl my little eyes out. I suppose it's with something actually seeing it instead of reading it? I'm not to sure. With that being said, it takes alot and I mean ALOT for a book to make my cry. Everyone's different I suppose.

Here are the books that made me cry a river...well not literally...well maybe literally.

*These are in no order by the way. Just the top 5 :-) *

1. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.

I read this when I was the mere age of 14 which is quite young to read this book but alas I read it!

The whole book is just sad so be prepared to start crying from the get go!

2. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson

Now I try to avoid cancer books at all costs. My younger brother had cancer (he is 100% ok now) and it was just a really rough time in my family's live. I loved this book and how it was from the perspective of a family member who was dealing with a very close relative having cancer. I could relate to the main character %100 so hence all the tears. The ending was just gut wrenching though!

3. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

I'm sure this is on at least 70% people's list. Now I will admit since I took forever and a day to read this book, I already knew what was coming. The writing was just so beautiful and poignant that you can't help but to shed a tear or a dozen in my case.

4. Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Talk about a heart and gut wrenching book. This book made me sob...like a toddler sob. Man oh man Veronica Roth, why you gotta do a sister like that??

5. The Art of Racing In The Rain by Garth Stein

This book takes place from a dog's point of view and you can tell from the get go what's gonna happen. As a dog lover and owner this book was very hard for me to read. I am expecting my first child but before that was even thought into existence I have had my lovely dog, Colleen. She is like my first child in a way. If you are a dog lover you will understand. I love my Colleen like nothing else, dogs are truly man's best friend.

This book was so beautiful and so sad and I am glad to have read it despite the buckets of tears it caused me. Oh the buckets of tears!!!

Well that was all the books that made me cry! I'm sure there will be more that make me cry later down the road! What books made you cry?
