ReplyDeleteOne contemporary book that surprised me because I judged it's HORRIBLE cover but LOVED the book SO much was "Leaving Paradise" and "Returning to Paradise" by Simone Elkeles. I haven't read any others from her yet but heard about "Perfect Chemistry" from your booktube vids and want to check it out ASAP! :) Of course, love the Stephanie Perkins books. (If I win them, I'm sending them tot he bestie to introduce her to the lovable Perkins) Also, really liked "The Distance Between Us" by Kasie West.

ReplyDeleteI have read far too many contemporary books than I probably should have but I would say that my favorite contemporary book is Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen. There is just something about that book that made me love it so much. It may have to do that I read it during the summer actually. Another favorite is My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick because I felt like this story was very similar to a situation a close friend was going through and it was nice to read an almost relatable book for my case. I would love to win the contest to be see what these books have to bring!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite contemporary books have to be 'The Tragedy Papers' and '13 Reasons Why,' a weird choice I know but they kept me turning the page at 4.30 a.m. I did remember loving 'Dash and Lily's book of dares' too. I haven't read a lot of summer contemporary yet but those books sound like a great start!
